Manavodaya Charitable Society : Major activities of the year
Manavodaya Charitable Home for elderly women from economically challenged section of the society is presently functioning at the registered office. This is a major achievement of Manavodaya in 2018. 30 women above the age of 60 years are being provided care at this charitable home. They are provided the following services free of cost

The members utilize their time in making soap, detergent, candles etc. and are sold nearby.
Soap making unit
We make washing and bathing soap, cleaning lotions and washing
powder.
The products are distributed in self help groups and also
across the sales counters of nearby shops.
Candle Making Units
Candles of various shapes and sizes are made and sold in the open market.
Lamp wick Making unit
Lamp wicks are made by the elderly women and sold in the nearby Temples.
Incense Stick Making Unit
Incense stick of different perfumes are made and sold to nearby temples and shops.
Paper Bag making Unit
Training is given in paper bag making. News paper bags are made and distributed freely among the shops as a measure to reduce the use of plastic bags by the people. We also make paper bags of various sizes for commercial purposes as per the specific order of clients.
Food making unit
The culinary skill of the members is put to good use in our kitchen to bring out food products like chips, snacks and variety pickles. We have FSSAI license and our products are sold in the open market.
Tailoring Unit
Tailoring unit conducts free training classes for the needy which will enable them to find a livelihood through dress making. Besides stitching works, cloth bags are also made here.
Yoga Classes
Yoga classes is given free of cost to the members to ensure that their mental and physical health are being taken care of.
Medical Check up
Monthly medical checkup of the members is conducted by palliative care .
Free Medicine
Members are given free medicine on the prescription of the qualified doctors.
Free Food
Free nutritive three-time meals are given to the members of Manavodaya Charitable Home daily.
Monthly family meet
A family meeting of the members and public is conducted on the last Saturday of every month. Classes are conducted on various relevant topics and cultural programs are also conducted.
Cultural activities
All Wednesday afternoons are scheduled for cultural activities like Music and dance.
Free Clothes
Members of Manavodaya Charitable Home are given free clothes on need basis.
